Facilities Manager – Student Accommodation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the operations of a purpose‑built student accommodation portfolio in London. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and high‑quality living environment for residents while overseeing all aspects of building maintenance and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all facilities management activities, including planned and reactive maintenance.
• Manage contractor performance, service delivery, and warranty works.
• Ensure statutory compliance and health & safety standards are met.
• Maintain CAFM systems and keep accurate compliance records.
• Coordinate refurbishment projects, capital works, and lifecycle planning.
• Monitor building fabric, mechanical & electrical services, and fire safety procedures.
• Supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in facilities or property management, preferably within PBSA, Build‑to‑Rent, residential or hospitality sectors.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and maintenance programmes.
• Relevant qualifications such as IOSH, IWFM, RICS are desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAFM (Computer‑Aided Facility Management) systems.
