Facilities Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Facilities Project Engineer on a 12‑month contract to support a leading Defence and Aerospace client. You will work on internal facilities projects covering electrical, mechanical and civil disciplines, ensuring safe and compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with site teams to develop and deliver internal facilities projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as security, health & safety, and IT.
• Provide technical input to project scopes and options.
• Support the creation of detailed scopes of work for procurement.
• Produce and maintain project plans and schedules.
• Review contractor documentation and assist in project completion and sign‑off.

Required profile

• PRINCE2 (or equivalent) certification.
• NEBOSH Level 2 Health & Safety qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in project engineering or management within facilities or defence environments.
• Ability to obtain SC‑level security clearance.
• Good knowledge of building regulations and project management techniques.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Project.
