Facilities & Transport Supervisor (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time position combines facilities management with transport duties for a college campus. You will keep the site safe, clean and compliant while also driving the college minibus to transport students and staff safely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, including routine maintenance, minor repairs and safety inspections.
• Ensure buildings, grounds and access routes are secure, safe and accessible for all users.
• Manage contractor visits, verify compliance with health & safety regulations and college policies.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle checks, maintenance schedules, site inspections and supplies.
• Drive the college minibus, drop students at designated locations and monitor their wellbeing throughout the journey.

Required profile

• Full, clean UK driving licence (category D1) and willingness to obtain MIDAS certification.
• Previous experience in facilities, premises or site management, preferably in an education or care setting.
• Good working knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding and building security procedures.
• Practical maintenance skills and a calm, flexible approach when supporting vulnerable students.
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £16.13 – £18.10.
• Potential permanent role after an initial 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Equivalent full‑time salary of £30,279 – £33,983 per annum.
