Facility Manager

About the role

We are looking for an organised Facility Manager to take charge of the day‑to‑day upkeep of our sites in Darwen, Preston and Wigan. The role ensures that all premises are clean, safe and operating efficiently, supporting the wider business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the overall condition, presentation and cleanliness of three company sites.
• Carry out regular inspections to verify safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
• Arrange repairs and technical interventions with external contractors or internal teams.
• Manage relationships with cleaners, maintenance providers, suppliers and service contractors.
• Ensure health‑and‑safety procedures and compliance standards are consistently met.
• Monitor facility‑related costs, support budget control and keep accurate maintenance logs.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, urgent repairs and operational issues.
• Assist with office moves, installations, site improvements and other operational projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities, site or building management.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workloads.
• Excellent communication and contractor‑management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
