Factory Machine Operative – Multi‑Skilled Extrusion Operator

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Multi‑Skilled Operative to run extrusion machines in a busy bakery environment producing high‑quality crackerbread. The role is based in Poole and offers an immediate start with rotating shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Set up extrusion machines according to the required recipe and monitor the process.
• Operate machines within agreed parameters while following bakery SOPs.
• Carry out and record all required checks during production.
• Identify and correct simple faults; escalate complex issues to the Team Leader or Engineering.
• Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Food Safety standards (HACCP, BRC, IFS, Femas).
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of bakery processes and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good risk identification skills for health, safety and food safety.
• Ability to make timely operational decisions and know when to escalate.
• Effective communication in conversational English.
• Pre‑settled status for non‑UK workers.
