Family Chartered Legal Executive

About the role

We are expanding our Family Law team and are looking for a qualified Family Chartered Legal Executive to manage a mixed caseload of family matters. The role offers hybrid working, with one day a week in the office and the remainder remote, allowing you to deliver a client‑focused service while developing your legal expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of privately funded family law matters, from initiation to resolution.
• Negotiate actively to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Record all case information accurately using our case management system.
• Draft, review and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit targets.
• For senior/lead positions, provide line‑management, mentorship and contribute to departmental strategy and marketing.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX‑qualified legal executive with experience in family law.
• Proven track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Resilient with the ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a case management system.
• Good general IT skills.
