Family Law Solicitor – Exeter

About the role

Join a respected family and matrimonial department at a dynamic legal firm in Exeter. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on a wide range of family law matters, from divorce and civil partnership to cohabitee issues, finance and children matters, while delivering exceptional client care.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload autonomously, ensuring efficient and effective handling of each matter.
• Perform work accurately and in line with the firm’s risk‑management procedures.
• Stay up‑to‑date with developments and changes in family law.
• Build and maintain a network of contacts and referrers to enhance client service and firm reputation.
• Participate in department marketing initiatives and strengthen client relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling a broad spectrum of family law cases, including divorce, civil partnership, separation, cohabitee issues, finance and children matters.
• Knowledge of the legal aid system is desirable but not essential.
• Strong ability to manage a comprehensive caseload independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building client and referrer relationships.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of legal updates.
