Family Lawyer / Associate

About the role

Our client, a long‑established law firm with a strong reputation in the South of England, is seeking a Family Lawyer/Associate to join its high‑performing family team. The role offers a blend of autonomy and collaboration, allowing you to manage your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of family law matters, including high‑value financial remedy cases involving trusts, business assets, pensions and international elements.
• Manage private children work, cohabitation, nuptial agreements and relationship‑based matters.
• Develop and maintain your own caseload, providing proactive client service.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Assist Partners on complex or Partner‑led cases.

Required profile

• UK‑qualified solicitor with 5‑8 years post‑qualification experience in family law.
• Proven experience in divorce, separation, complex financial remedy and private children matters.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and mentor junior lawyers.
• Strong commercial awareness, client‑care focus and collaborative approach.
