Family Paralegal – Newbury

About the role

Join a well‑established High Street law firm in Newbury as a Family Paralegal. You will support solicitors throughout the full lifecycle of private family matters, gaining hands‑on experience in client care, legal drafting and case preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with divorce, financial remedy and private children cases
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence and court bundles
• Conduct legal research and support case preparation
• Manage case files, maintain accurate records and monitor deadlines
• Liaise with clients, barristers, courts and third parties
• Support domestic abuse and cohabitation matters
• Handle general file administration and case progression

Required profile

• Previous experience within a Family Law team
• Strong drafting and communication abilities
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Professional, empathetic and client‑focused approach

Required skills

• Proficiency with IT and case‑management systems
