Family Partner – Early Help (Temporary)

About the role
The Family Partner will join a Preventative & Early Intervention Locality Team supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families in the Newcastle City area. Working on a whole‑family basis, you will assess needs, coordinate interventions and help families achieve sustainable change.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of children, young people and families to identify needs.
- Develop, monitor and review SMART action plans with families to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with families while providing constructive challenge.
- Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to ensure access to appropriate services.
- Support delivery of parenting programmes, group work and targeted early‑intervention activities.
Required profile
- Minimum Level 3 qualification.
- Proven experience working with children, young people and vulnerable families.
- Strong understanding of Early Help, preventative services and a whole‑family approach.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records using IT systems.
Required skills
- Assessment and planning skills.
- Effective multi‑agency collaboration.
- Record‑keeping using digital systems.
What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract of 3‑6 months with potential extension.
- £16.62 per hour PAYE.
- 37‑hour work week, onsite in Newcastle.
