Family Practitioner – Social Work Assistant or NQSW

About the role
We are looking for a Family Practitioner to join the Ealing & Acton Children & Families teams in West London. The role is suitable for an experienced Social Work Assistant or a newly qualified Social Worker who has completed a placement in a front‑line child protection team. You will manage a caseload of children and families, delivering targeted interventions and working closely with social workers and partner agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Undertake direct work with children, young people and their families.
- Complete assessments, support plans and case recordings to a high standard.
- Collaborate with social workers and multi‑agency professionals to safeguard children.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic case management systems.
Required profile
- Experience working with children and families in a statutory or closely related setting.
- Demonstrable experience managing your own caseload.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship‑building skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic case management systems.
- Solid IT skills for data entry and reporting.
What we offer
- Hybrid working – at least two days per week in the office.
- Competitive hourly rate of £25‑£27.50.
- £250 referral bonus for successful placements.
