Family Solicitor – Liverpool

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified Family Solicitor to join a leading law firm in Liverpool. You will work on a diverse range of family matters, developing your expertise while contributing to the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of private and public family law matters, including domestic abuse and non‑molestation cases.
• Prepare and submit CCMS applications, amendments and powers of attorney.
• Attend court hearings, prison visits, police stations and other off‑site locations as required.
• Provide advice to clients, negotiate settlements and ensure high standards of client care.
• Conduct legal research, monitor electronic portals and keep up to date with legislative changes.
• Support the firm’s commercial objectives by meeting individual and departmental fee targets.
• Supervise and train trainee solicitors and paralegals.

Required profile

• Experience advising on a variety of family law matters.
• Strong time‑management and ability to manage your own caseload.
• Knowledge of Legal Aid and a genuine passion for family law.
• Commercially minded with a desire to develop a client base.
• Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential.
• Panel membership or working towards it is an advantage.

• £30,000‑£50,000 salary (GBP, per year).
