Family Support Worker – South London (£15‑£18 per hour)

About the role

Prospero Health & Social Care is seeking experienced Family Support Workers to provide vital assistance to vulnerable children and young people across South London. This flexible, temporary position allows you to work part‑time in community settings, supporting families, schools and health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct support to children and young people, helping them build resilience and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with families, schools, social workers and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and report safeguarding concerns in line with legislation.
• Adapt support approaches to suit a variety of settings, including homes, schools and community centres.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience working with children or young people in a support capacity.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child‑protection principles.
• Ability to work flexibly across different locations within South London.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
