Family Support Worker – Temporary, Wokingham

About the role

We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our team in Wokingham on a temporary basis. In this role you will support vulnerable children and young people, helping them build resilience and develop positive coping strategies. You will work closely with families, schools, social workers and healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes for service users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support to children, young people and their families in a variety of settings.
• Assist families in accessing appropriate services and resources.
• Collaborate with schools, social workers and health professionals to coordinate care plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young people in a support role.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
• Ability to work flexibly across different settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
