Female Care Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Female Care Assistant to support a young woman with complex learning disabilities, helping her live as independently as possible. The role involves providing practical, emotional and social support within her home environment, following a personalised care plan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Facilitate participation in activities such as yoga, swimming, music therapy and outdoor outings.
• Support communication using non‑verbal methods and assist with Makaton signing.
• Monitor wellbeing and report any changes to the care team.
• Work flexible shifts, including days, nights or a mix, to ensure 30 guaranteed hours per week.

Required profile

• Live within a commutable distance to Rickmansworth.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Empathy, resilience, positive mindset and a good sense of humour.
• Physical and mental stamina to handle varied activities.

Required skills

• Intensive Interaction techniques.
• Makaton signing.
