Female Complex Care Support Worker – 8‑hour shifts

About the role

We are looking for an experienced female Complex Care Support Worker to provide 8‑hour shifts, seven days a week, in the PO8 (Waterlooville) area. The role involves delivering high‑quality, hands‑on care for a service user with multiple clinical and mobility needs, ensuring safety, dignity and comfort at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Provide complex care during 8‑hour shifts, seven days a week.
• Follow the service user’s support plan and care protocols, including regular suctioning and chest physiotherapy.
• Administer home oxygen, manage apnea episodes, and handle PEG feeding.
• Manage seizures and support double incontinence, monitoring for recurrent UTIs.
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers, including two‑carer hoist transfers and support for contractures, stiff hips and limited wheelchair tolerance.
• Maintain infection control, accurate documentation and promote independence where possible.

Required profile

• Female, to meet the personal care preferences of the service user.
• Proven experience in complex or high‑acuity care (suctioning, oxygen, PEG feeding, seizures).
• Confidence with hoist and two‑carer transfers.
• Understanding of continence care, safeguarding and recurrent UTIs.
• Ability to follow care plans, adapt to changing needs and communicate calmly under pressure.
