Female Domiciliary Care Worker – Bristol

About the role

This zero‑hour position supports people living independently in the Lawrence Weston and Shirehampton areas of Bristol. You will join a friendly, professional team that values hard work and community dedication, providing personal care and companionship to service users.

Key responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal hygiene, washing and dressing.
• Prepare and serve meals, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Prompt and support medication taking.
• Carry out light household tasks, cleaning and gardening where required.
• Manage budgeting, shopping and accompany users on day trips.
• Provide companionship to build confidence and independence.
• Travel between care calls, claiming mileage reimbursement.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
• Willingness to work alternative weekends.
• Empathy, compassion and respect for service users.
• Female applicants only, in line with Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9.
• No prior experience required – full training provided.
