Female Move On Activities Worker

About the role

The Move On & Activities Support Worker will be based in Wythenshawe, supporting individuals and families transitioning from temporary accommodation to sustainable, independent housing. The role blends housing‑related assistance with the delivery of community activities that promote wellbeing, confidence and social connection.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and identify suitable housing options for service users.
• Support tenants in securing tenancies and developing independent living skills.
• Plan and deliver community‑based activities that reduce isolation and build confidence.
• Provide transition support to help families settle successfully in new homes.
• Maintain awareness of safeguarding and duty‑of‑care responsibilities.

Required profile

• Warm, caring attitude with a genuine interest in helping vulnerable families.
• Understanding of homeless families work and the ability to build rapport with parents.
• Awareness of safeguarding issues and duty‑of‑care obligations.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and reside in the country.
