Female Night Care Assistant for Child with Complex Needs

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Female Night Care Assistant to provide overnight support for a young child with complex medical needs in a family home. The role involves monitoring, medication administration, and ensuring the child’s safety throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Overnight observation and monitoring of the child.
• Administer medication via PEG and manage PEG feeds according to the care plan.
• Provide basic respiratory support, including occasional use of Non‑Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and comfort needs during the night.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate any concerns to the family.

Required profile

• Compassionate, patient and attentive with a calm, reassuring manner.
• Reliable and able to work independently overnight.
• Experience in care, healthcare or support work is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake specialist training.

Required skills

• Ability to administer medication via PEG.
• Knowledge of basic respiratory support and chest physiotherapy (training will be provided).
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK.
