Female Night Support Worker

About the role

Join Cygnet as a Female Night Support Worker on the Gables residential site in Colchester. You will work night shifts (7:30 pm – 7:45 am) providing compassionate, person‑centred care to female residents with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, flexible care throughout the night shift.
• Provide physical and emotional support, encouraging independence.
• Assist with residents’ medical, welfare and personal care needs.
• Record and report on medical and welfare requirements as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment.
• Safeguard residents and follow all safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Genuinely driven to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
• Excellent communicator and effective team player.
• Sensitive, intuitive and able to create a trusting atmosphere.
• Willing to work night shifts and meet the occupational need for female staff.
• Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check.
