Female Relief Waking Night Support Worker

About the role

Thera Trust is seeking a Female Relief Waking Night Support Worker to join its team in Accrington on a relief basis. You will support adults with learning disabilities during night hours, both in their homes and within the community, using a person‑centred approach.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal, emotional and practical support to individuals during night shifts.
• Assist with developing new skills, managing daily routines and planning leisure activities.
• Support individuals with mental health needs and ensure their safety while working alone.
• Help with household tasks, travel arrangements and community outings as required.
• Adapt support strategies to meet the unique needs and goals of each person.

Required profile

• No prior experience or qualifications required – full training will be provided.
• Comfortable with lone working and supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• Compassionate, caring, confident and motivated.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to embrace the organisation’s values and have fun.
