Female Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Female Support Worker to join our Bury Learning Disabilities Services team. The role involves delivering person‑centred support to adults with learning disabilities and additional physical or support needs living in a supported‑living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care, hygiene assistance and support with daily living activities.
• Promote independence by teaching social skills, relationship building and community engagement.
• Assist service users in managing money, using community resources and accessing leisure or work activities.
• Support self‑organisation, coping strategies and personal safety planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Good understanding of learning disabilities and person‑centred practice.
• Commitment to developing the service and supporting the staff team.
• Willingness to work in a female‑only environment as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and residence within the country.
