Female Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker to provide home‑based care for individuals with complex emotional and mental health needs in Leeds and the surrounding area. The role involves delivering person‑centred support, monitoring health indicators, and assisting with daily living activities while upholding our values of compassion, impact, and community.

Key responsibilities

• Support mobility and basic handling of service users.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
• Prepare meals, maintain personal hygiene and ensure a safe living environment.
• Provide emotional and practical support, including financial guidance where appropriate.
• Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work flexible 8‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required profile

• Minimum 1.5 years experience in community or home care, preferably with mental health, autism or learning disabilities.
• Full UK driving licence (essential for transport between homes).
• Completed PMVA (Positive Mental Valuing Approach) training.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to varied shift patterns and respond to feedback.
• Strong communication, leadership and empathy.
