Female Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Female Support Worker to join our team at Shear Meadow, a community residential home in Hemel Hempstead. You will support adults with learning disabilities, including those with challenging behaviours and complex needs, helping them lead fuller, happier lives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred care and encouragement to promote independence.
• Deliver physical and emotional support tailored to each individual's needs.
• Assist with daily living tasks, medication, and welfare requirements.
• Observe, record and report health and safeguarding concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
• Work flexibly on a 40‑hour rota and travel to the site as required.

Required profile

• Genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Sensitive, intuitive and energetic approach.
• Ability to empower service users and respect their choices.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least one year (preferred).
