Field based Crane Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Field‑based Crane Technician to join our engineering and service team. The role involves travelling across Southern England to perform scheduled servicing, repairs and breakdown response for a variety of crane and lifting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and repairs on customer cranes.
• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns on site, often under time pressure.
• Travel to multiple customer locations throughout Southern England using a fully equipped company van.
• Work with hydraulic and electrical systems to restore equipment to operational condition.
• Maintain accurate service records and manage workload independently.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical or engineering background with hands‑on experience.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical principles.
• Interest in cranes and lifting equipment.
• Ability to work independently, methodically and reliably.
• Good communication skills and punctuality.

What we offer

• Competitive salary up to £45,000 DOE.
• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00‑17:00 schedule.
