Field Based Loss Adjuster – Commercial Property

About the role

This position is for a Field Based Loss Adjuster who will manage commercial property claims across London, the South East and South West of England. You will work independently, liaising with clients, insurers and experts to deliver accurate claim assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and manage commercial property claims up to £250,000.
• Prepare detailed reports covering policy analysis, quantum, and recommended actions.
• Instruct and coordinate claim‑related experts as required.
• Communicate regularly with all parties, calculate and approve interim payments, and produce interim reports.
• Calculate settlements, negotiate agreements and produce final claim reports.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence.
• Uphold commitments, share knowledge, and seek feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling commercial property claims, either desk‑based or field‑based.
• Strong customer focus with a proven record of delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage a caseload and seek guidance when needed.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to juggle multiple actions simultaneously.
• Track record of meeting targets and working flexibly during busy periods.
• Full UK driving licence.
