Field Engineer – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Field Engineer to join a family‑run manufacturer of automotive recycling equipment. You will spend most of your time on‑site across the UK and Ireland, installing, servicing and repairing a range of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain depollution and dismantling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components.
• Travel to customer sites and the office (once a week) to collect stock and tools.
• Provide hotels and meal allowances where required.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems in a field‑based engineering role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland.
• Availability to work Monday‑Thursday, 7:30‑17:30.
