Field Interviewer – Part‑Time (Lincoln area)

About the role

As a Field Interviewer you will visit households in the Lincoln area to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will capture real‑life experiences that help shape public policy.

Key responsibilities

• Knock on doors and introduce yourself to residents who have been pre‑informed about the study.
• Conduct structured interviews using a tablet or laptop, ensuring accurate data capture.
• Handle refusals professionally and maintain a positive, courteous demeanor.
• Record travel time and mileage accurately for reimbursement.
• Submit interview data promptly according to project guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 business insurance for vehicle use.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband connection.
• At least 18 hours per week availability, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

• Laptop or tablet with a functional camera.
• Basic proficiency with standard technology (e.g., navigating a tablet interface).
• Reliable home broadband for data upload.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per interview, plus admin fees, holiday pay and travel reimbursements.
• Travel time paid at £4.68 per hour and mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles).
• Performance bonuses: £250 after launch and additional £250 at two‑ and four‑month milestones.
• Average hourly rate of approximately £15.12, with higher rates for experienced interviewers.
