Field Operations Sampler

About the role

Alfred H Knight is seeking a Field Operations Sampler to join its Energy Services team in Immingham. You will work at the heart of port and client operations, supporting major contracts and enabling sustainable energy logistics. The role involves a flexible shift pattern and occasional travel to other ports and AHK locations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and manual sampling of biomass and solid fuels.
• Operate automated sampling systems.
• Prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
• Transport samples across facility networks and between locations.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams and external port personnel.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage sampling routines and track details accurately.
• Proven experience working in shipping or port environments.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Self‑motivated and adaptable, able to work independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
