Field Service Engineer – Automated Gates & Barriers

About the role

Join a leading door and gate automation company as a Field Service Engineer covering the North West of England. This is a full‑time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, overtime, and call‑out pay.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive works, call‑outs, servicing, scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations of automated doors, gates, barriers, bollards, roller shutters, shop fronts, dock levellers, sectional and industrial doors, and loading‑bay systems.
• Cover a mix of commercial, industrial and large residential clients across the North West region.
• Ensure high‑quality workmanship on‑site and maintain effective communication with clients and the administration team.
• Adhere to professional guidelines, regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers and provide support and training to junior team members.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Relevant experience in the door, gate or barrier automation industry.
• Motivated, forward‑thinking individual with a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Experience with Gilgen equipment.
• Experience with Ditec equipment.

What we offer

• Basic salary between £33,000 and £39,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus overtime and call‑out rates.
