Field Service Engineer – Batteries & Power Systems

About the role

This position is with an employee‑owned engineering business that delivers industrial power solutions across the Midlands and surrounding regions. You will travel extensively throughout the UK, often staying overnight, to install, service and maintain industrial battery chargers and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on industrial battery chargers.
• Replace batteries and perform electromechanical installations on customer sites.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic faults and produce accurate service reports.
• Conduct site surveys for asset management and provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Identify potential sales opportunities during visits.

Required profile

• Electrical or electronic background with strong fault‑finding ability.
• CSCS card holder.
• Comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.
• IT literate – proficient with Microsoft 365 and reporting systems.
