Field Service Engineer – CNC Machines

About the role

Join ASC Connections Ltd as a Field Service Engineer supporting advanced CNC machining equipment for customers across the Milton Keynes area. You will ensure machines operate at peak performance while delivering high‑quality on‑site service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs and routine maintenance on multi‑axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Carry out mechanical and minor electrical repairs to ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, pumps and motors.
• Execute machine leveling, alignment and precision calibration.
• Install, commission and retrofit new machinery on customer sites.
• Order spare parts, manage inventory and replace components as required.
• Provide end‑user training and remote or on‑site technical support.

Required profile

• Confidence handling either electrical or mechanical breakdowns of CNC equipment.
• Experience with Siemens or FANUC CNC controls.
• Strong fault‑finding, diagnostics and equipment inspection skills.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight when projects demand.
