Field Service Engineer – CNC Milling Machines

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join a market‑leading manufacturer of large metal CNC milling machines. You will be based in Huddersfield and will travel across a regional patch from Newcastle to South Wales, providing both planned and reactive maintenance on high‑value equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full machine servicing, head service and breakdown repairs on CNC milling machines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on site.
• Install, commission and test new equipment and spare parts.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.
• Travel to customer sites Monday‑Friday, with optional overtime available.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role working with CNC or large industrial machinery.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
• Ability to work independently and follow health & safety procedures.
