Field Service Engineer – Commercial Refrigeration

About the role

Our client is a well‑established engineering business that specialises in commercial refrigeration, cold rooms and industrial equipment. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their permanent team covering the Bedfordshire area, offering ongoing training and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and cold‑room equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdown call‑outs.
• Perform site inspections, ensuring work is safe and meets quality standards.
• Produce accurate service reports and build strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Previous experience with commercial refrigeration, cold rooms or similar equipment.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair work.
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, with full training provided.
