Field Service Engineer (Diesel & Gas Engines)

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with experience on diesel and gas engines to join a market‑leading power generation specialist. You will work on critical energy infrastructure across the M25, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on diesel and gas engine installations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using local and remote diagnostics.
• Service engines and ancillary equipment in line with manufacturer schedules.
• Complete service reports, timesheets and maintenance documentation.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to maximise equipment uptime.

Required profile

• Experience servicing diesel engines, gas engines, CHP, generators or similar equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
• Recognised engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rota.
