Field Service Engineer – Electrical Bias

About the role

This permanent Field Service Engineer position supports client sites across the Midlands, Manchester, Liverpool and the wider UK. You will travel Monday‑Friday, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment on‑site while representing the business to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Work on automated machinery, including electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Read technical drawings and work methodically.
• Build strong relationships with customers while on site.

Required profile

• Strong fault‑finding experience across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Confidence working independently on breakdowns.
• Exposure to PLC fault finding is highly desirable.
• Experience with automated machinery such as CNC, robotics or similar equipment.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings.
