Field Service Engineer – Full Training & Overtime

About the role
We are seeking a mechanically‑inclined Field Service Engineer to join a family‑run materials handling company in the Midlands. The role is based locally, covering sites around Birmingham, Leicester, Loughborough, Derby, Nottingham and Coventry, with no overnight stays.
Key responsibilities
- Visit customer sites across the Midlands to service and maintain materials handling equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.
Required profile
- Mechanical background (e.g., car mechanic, plant/FLT engineer, REME).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undergo full industry training.
Required skills
- Mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Experience or aptitude for maintaining materials handling equipment.
