Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a multi‑skilled Field Service Engineer to service, repair and commission end‑of‑line packaging machinery across the UK and Ireland. The role is home‑based with extensive travel, including 2‑3 night stays per week and occasional weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, refurbish, install and commission packaging equipment used in food and beverage markets.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in Siemens PLCs (or similar) and perform upgrades and modifications.
• Provide on‑site support across the UK and Ireland, travelling frequently and staying overnight as required.
• Attend training sessions at the company headquarters in Europe and on‑the‑job training for PLC upgrades.
• Work collaboratively with the sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer with hands‑on work on packaging machinery in the food and/or beverage sector.
• Electrical and electronic engineering qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to fault‑find, modify and upgrade Siemens PLCs or comparable control systems.
• Factory Maintenance Engineers with similar packaging machinery experience will also be considered.
