Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated NavCom Field Service Engineer to join our technical services team in Redhill. The role involves supporting installation, maintenance and repair of maritime communication, navigation and satellite broadband systems across the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair maritime communication systems, including GMDSS equipment.
• Carry out navigation equipment upgrades and support VSAT satellite broadband installations.
• Perform radio surveys and VDR/APT activities on customer sites.
• Assist with large‑scale retrofit projects, bridge installations and integrated system deployments.
• Provide high‑quality customer service while working onsite with clients.

Required profile

• HNC, ONC, NVQ Level or equivalent in engineering, electrical, electronics or IT.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic or communications engineering.
• Full UK driving licence and valid passport.
• Willingness to travel and pass medical requirements for field work.
• Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain it.
