Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a market‑leading materials handling business to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer. You will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and a range of material handling equipment (MHE) at customer sites across the London‑Oxford (M40) corridor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs on forklift trucks and mobile plant machinery.
• Carry out planned maintenance programmes and record work in your diary.
• Organise your own workload and travel schedule while being supported by a technical back‑office team.
• Stay up‑to‑date with manufacturer training and new equipment technologies.

Required profile

• Hands‑on servicing or maintenance experience.
• Maintenance experience with forklift trucks, mobile plant machinery, HGVs or industrial vehicles.
• Practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desirable: previous field service engineer role and a Level 3 engineering qualification.
