Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in Crawley. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining and commissioning a wide range of security equipment across the South East England region.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and commission security systems such as automated gates, barriers and blockers.
• Carry out site surveys and produce accurate reports.
• Provide out‑of‑hours call‑out support and occasional overnight stays.
• Occasional overseas travel when required.
• Work independently on field assignments while collaborating with the wider team.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to meet the practical demands of the role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings (training provided).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Electrical and mechanical engineering background with fault‑finding, repair, installation and commissioning experience.
• Customer‑facing attitude and ability to pass security clearance procedures.
