Field Service Engineer – Maintenance Engineer (Field based)

About the role

Join a leading international software client as a Field Service Engineer, providing on‑site maintenance and installations across the South East England region. You will work from a company van, servicing a variety of specialised equipment and ensuring high‑quality service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out remedial maintenance initiated by customer requests.
• Install and commission machines and equipment as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and service records.
• Complete work dockets, reports and weekly/monthly service reports.
• Assist in maintaining organisational charts for customers and support networking documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a field service engineering or technician role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Experience working on the road from a van or vehicle.
• Excellent customer relationship skills and flexible approach to working hours.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and operate both independently and as part of a team.
