Field Service Engineer – Materials Handling (Redhill)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer to join our growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Milton Keynes region. The role is field‑based, offering a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a variety of materials handling equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment.
• Diagnose faults using mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management.
• Deliver excellent on‑site customer service and act as a company ambassador.
• Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate.
• Ensure full health and safety compliance at all times.

Required profile

• Strong engineering mindset with practical experience in automotive, HGV/plant, forklift, agricultural or military engineering.
• Solid mechanical and electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Experience in a field‑based or customer‑facing role.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Full UK driving licence.
