Field Service Engineer – Mechanical (Air Compressors)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a growing company specialising in air‑compressor solutions. You will receive full manufacturer training and will be responsible for servicing, installing and maintaining compressor systems across a local patch in London and Hertfordshire.

Key responsibilities

• Service, install and carry out routine maintenance on a range of air‑compressor equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical and electrical components.
• Travel to customer sites within the assigned area using a company van.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.
• Work Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, with the opportunity to take up to 10 hours of overtime weekly.

Required profile

• Mechanical background with experience in field service or similar roles.
• Willingness to travel locally across London and Hertfordshire.
• Commitment to complete in‑house training on air‑compressor systems.
• Desire to progress to a managerial position within two years.

Required skills

• Knowledge of air‑compressor systems.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to install and service industrial equipment.

What we offer

• Salary £45,000‑£50,000 per annum plus overtime (OTE up to £68,000).
