Field Service Engineer – South East England

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support a leading manufacturer of bespoke engineering equipment across Reading, Chippenham, Oxford and Basingstoke. You will work independently on customer sites, performing installation, commissioning, calibration and fault‑finding while developing specialist technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, calibrate and service bespoke engineering equipment at multiple customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults quickly and safely.
• Travel regularly within the designated region, including overnight stays as required.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Electrical, electronics, avionics or mechanically‑biased engineering background.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding ability.
• Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel overnight.
• Ex‑military candidates with relevant engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
