Field Service Engineer – South East (MRI)

About the role
As an MRI Field Service Engineer you will support Philips MRI customers across the South East of England, delivering installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on advanced MRI systems. You will work both independently and as part of a regional team, ensuring high system performance and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and colleagues at an advanced technical level.
- Deliver field‑based support, including corrective and preventive maintenance, installations, upgrades and field change orders on complex MRI systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and network issues using established procedures and documentation.
- Determine cost‑effective solutions to minimise downtime and maximise system availability.
- Maintain accurate service records in line with Philips Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and a customer‑first approach.
- Participate in the on‑call rota, providing timely support as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge across the service organisation.
- Ensure all activities comply with Philips quality, regulatory, health & safety and customer site requirements.
Required profile
- HNC/HND or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical or related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing complex medical or imaging equipment.
- Strong logical troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in the field.
- Experience with MRI systems is highly desirable; experience with other advanced imaging modalities is also considered.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, system connectivity and cybersecurity principles.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the South East.
- Residence within a suitable location to support customers across South East England.
