Field Service & Maintenance Engineer – South England & Wales

About the role

We are seeking a robust, technically‑minded Field Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team. You will work on hydraulic bollards, road blockers and related equipment across the South of England and Wales, with occasional international assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive call‑outs on hydraulic and electronic products.
• Manage daily job planner, verify locations and timings, and maintain a warehouse of spare parts.
• Produce detailed job reports and liaise confidently with customers.
• Collaborate with internal departments and participate in a call‑out rota, including overtime when required.
• Ensure safe working practices both independently and as part of a team.

Required profile

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
• Willingness to undertake in‑house training for mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Ex‑military or service background is valued but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Understanding of electronic circuits.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and maintenance.
• Familiarity with BS 7671 18th edition electrical standards.
• Mechanical maintenance competence (NVQ or equivalent).
• Ability to manage spare‑part inventory.
