About the role

Join Ordnance Survey as a Field Surveyor, working from home while travelling across South West England to capture high‑quality geospatial data. You will plan and execute surveys, support mapping updates and contribute to national land‑registry information.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out field surveys in designated regions.
  • Conduct ongoing surveys of residential and commercial developments for HM Land Registry.
  • Perform site inspections and boundary investigations, gathering measurements and evidence.
  • Collect, assess, edit, and maintain geospatial data to defined quality standards.
  • Manage your own workload and schedule across a wide geographical area.
  • Travel throughout Great Britain, including occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

  • Motivated and self‑driven with strong resilience.
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to manage own schedule and travel as required.
