Field Technician – Composite Repairs

About the role

icr is seeking a Field Technician to join its Composite Repairs team in Aberdeen. The role involves applying engineered composite repair products both onshore and offshore, supporting client requirements and adhering to ICR procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Technowrap composite products and Quickflange weldless connectors on various sites in line with client specifications.
• Prepare close‑out reports, work packs and assist with material planning and inventory management.
• Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, pre‑mob and de‑mob briefings, and ensure compliance with HSEQ and quality procedures.
• Maintain personal and team safety, conduct stock takes, and support warehouse management when required.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel frequently, including offshore, on‑shore and international locations, and to mobilise at short notice.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self‑starter attitude, capable of working independently and managing workload effectively.
• Commitment to adhering to company quality, safety and environmental policies.

Required skills

• Experience or training in applying Technowrap composite products and Quickflange weldless connectors.
• Knowledge of 2K and 2KHT composite systems and carbon fibre handling.
• Offshore survival training (BOSIET/MIST) and OGUK medical certification (can be provided).
• Rope access skills (preferable) and familiarity with COSHH procedures.
