About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Film and Media Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in East London. The role involves delivering engaging Film Studies and Media Studies to students across Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering both practical and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative Film and Media lessons for KS4 and KS5.
• Motivate and challenge students to achieve excellent academic outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Experience teaching Film Studies and/or Media Studies at secondary or further education level.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for creative education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
